Issue 68 of warhammer conquest gave us a familiar piece of terrain in the Haemotrope Reactor. This terrain piece was release a couple of issues back but that's nothing to complain about because its big chunky terrain piece that looks great! Lets get building!

These two models i am familiar with. Both these guys cam with the Betrayal at Calth box a few years back and i already had painted up the regular captain for the Road to Guilliman painting series.

Update number 8 had me painting a primaris librarian model. There was two things that had me worried a bit about painting this guy, the robe and making him look like he is using his psychic powers.

This is the second hq choice in the challenge so far and i was not looking forward to painting the power sword! In my mind the power sword is has to glowing with power, a visual thing of beauty to look at. That sounds awesome until it comes down to me painting it!

First look at 40K Funko pops

Games workshop has given us the first look at their new 40K Funko pops at the New York toy fair. Up until now we have on seen artists drawing or digital images but we have finall got a look at the four funkos.

Deathwing Terminators unit finished: Hobby Journal

Oh boy. Do you know how good it feels to write a post about a unit that i finally got around to finishing?  There are numerous units i have started over the years only to have fallen wayside and into section of the hobby shed i call the "Blues Box".  Not a physical box but more of a metaphoric box. All it consists of is the endless cycle that us hobbyists abide to. Buy-start-blues box-repeat.

Deathwing Terminators WIP

So after a few weeks i finally had a chance to sit down and get some hobby time in and I have been focusing on trying to get this unit of Deathwing Terminators finished. It’s the unit from the old Dark Vengeance starter set and I’m painting them up as a gift to a friend.

In this month’s White Dwarf (January) there was an article about looking back at 2016 and reviewing what was released. And going through it they really did release some amazing stuff like a reintroduction of Warhammer Quest to the rise of the genestealer cult.
