Hobby Journal: Blood bowl Orks & Pre Heresy Word Bearers

Since i finished my Skaven blood bowl team i wanted to keep the momentum going with my Blood Bowl teams so up next was the Ork team that i got with the BB starter box. I have said before that these Ork models are some of my favourite and i'm looking forward to painting them.

I kept the same colours that's shown on the box. I like the Gouged Eye uniforms and armour colour. The skin is something i'm only satisfied with now because i use a lot of old paints but i bought waagh flesh for the basecoat and followed a nuln oil wash. I was then just adding goblin green but i'm going to change that from now on

I was wanting to painting something different and i remembered i had a lot of marines left to paint. since i was painting the red on the Orks armour i decided to paint the pre heresy Word Bearers. Im only painting one for now because i was recording it for a painting tutorial for my YouTube channel. What i like painting a marine is once the Mephiston Red base on instead of just plastering the model with a wash, i only apply it in and recess of the armour

Hobby Journal: Rebasing my Skaven Zombies

How long has Age of Sigmar been out? Well over a year now and i still haven't got around to rebasing any units for my Skaven army. I have done 3 or 4 hero models but i wanted to get the whole army on round bases and im starting with my Zombie Skaven unit. So after searching on Ebay i was able to get 50 25mm round bases for a little under €5 (inc delivery).

The Skaven zombies are models from the old Island of Blood starter set so they were on the old square slotta bases. I had to be really careful when cutting the plastic part that's attached to the feet because their feet are really small and its easy to cut the feet straight off.

I love it that Age of Sigmar models are on round bases now. It gives you a chance to make every model that's part of a unit stand out instead of being lost in the old rank and file formation from Warhammer Fantasy

Here is the video version i did for my YouTube channel enjoy and thanks for checking this out!

50 Point Warband lists: Clan Eshin

I came up with 3 warband lists for Skaven's Clan Eshin using the new skirmish rules for Age Of Sigmar. I wanted to make the list more towards the fluff rather than make a powerful list.

List 1: Standard Eshin warband

1 Death runner: 24 pts
10 Night Runners: 20pts
6 Giant Rats: 6pts
There are only two choices in the rule book for Clan Eshin specifically, Death Runner (hero choice) and night runners. So instead of the warband consisting of just two units i thought the giant rats would be a nice fit for Eshin.
List 2: Eshin Muscle

1 Death runner: 24 pts
1 Rat Ogor: 12 pts
7 Night Runners: 14pts
This list i wanted to go back to what the Eshin Warband was like in the Mordheim game setting. Clan Eshin had a lot more options then and one of them was the rat ogor. To fit the big guy in i had to take out 3 night runners to even the points to 50.

List 3: Mordheim Power

1 Grey Seer: 24 pts
1 Rat Ogor: 12 pts
7 Night Runners: 14pts

This list is Mordheim all the way! But it does have a bit of everything. Swapped the Death Runner out for Grey Seer. I'm not sure how this mix will play in the game yet but i really like it. Three different units with their own way to work on the battlefield.

Hopefully you like these list i made. I didn't make power list but more fun/themed list. I will be making more in the future so keep an eye out!
